Amanda

I was born here in Maine and have yet to find a place I’d rather live. I spent the first twenty years of my life enjoying the rural, quiet life of central Maine. The past twenty years I’ve spent getting to know and taking advantage of the wonderful opportunity that southern Maine has to offer.

I attended the University of Maine in Orono and finished an associate’s degree in science at Southern Maine Community College after the migration south. I began the journey to becoming an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant in 2008. I became a certified dental assistant before attending the University of Maine at Augusta to attain the education and credentials I wear today.

I enjoy absorbing education and gaining knowledge to be a well-rounded resource for dental patients to learn from. To be a part of one’s oral health journey as he or she reaches their goals is a rewarding profession. To create and maintain the confidence in a smile is meaningful because a smile transcends language and cultural differences.

During my free time I rejuvenate with the sounds, sights, and smells of nature. I stay active enjoying all sorts of outdoor activities; hiking and skiing mountains, riding my bicycle or kayaking lakes and rivers. I have always been curious in seeing the diversity of the planet through my own two eyes so I travel as much as I am able. I love to catch live music, theatrical shows, and sporting events. I am also content with a quiet day at home doing a puzzle or creating with paint on a canvas or with a needle and thread in fabric.
